“Navigating Miami-Dade Heritage” is a collaborative initiative led by Plusurbia and the Miami-Dade County Office of Historic Preservation, designed to make local history and preservation information more accessible to the public.
The project includes the creation of the Miami-Dade Historic Resource Guide and accompanying StoryMaps, both developed to revitalize interest in local history and simplify understanding of preservation regulations and historic resources throughout the county.
The guide serves as a comprehensive resource documenting Miami-Dade County’s 11 historic preservation boards and two archaeological preservation boards, including maps, photographs, historical context, and contact information. Designed with exceptional graphic clarity and accessibility, the publication provides an invaluable tool for planners, government officials, developers, property owners, and residents seeking to better understand the county’s preservation framework and history.
