The 2025 Dolly MacIntyre Resiliency Award honors Sandy Moise for her exceptional commitment to environmental advocacy and education. Named after beloved preservationist Dolly MacIntyre, this award celebrates individuals whose work strengthens Miami’s environmental future.
Over her 36-year career, Moise has inspired countless others through her leadership in sustainability, conservation, and public engagement. She has championed initiatives such as the Leave No Trace policy for city-owned spoil islands and secured recognition of Mangrove Island in Biscayne Bay as a vital nesting rookery. As Director of Policy for the Urban Paradise Guild and a board member of the South Florida Outward Bound School, she continues to lead efforts to preserve Miami’s tree canopy by protecting the City’s Tree Ordinance and Tree Trust Fund.
Moise’s tireless advocacy reflects a deep passion for Miami’s natural heritage and serves as a call to action for future generations.
