DESCRIPTION:Baking in Historic Places is a series presented by Dade Heritage Trust and a creative (and delicious) way to introduce participants to some of Miami’s most beautiful historic venues. We use their kitchen and create baked goods under the guidance of our baker-in-chief\, Lucia Meneses.  \nOn Saturday\, August 3 we head to Fruit and Spice Park in the Redland to bake some lovely French pastries using fruits from the Park. Our baking events include a continental breakfast\, all of the ingredients you’ll need\, plus complete instructions and a tour of the Park!  Events sell out quickly! The Bakehouse is comprised of approximately 100 resident and associate artists\, deriving from a rich diversity of backgrounds. Their work represents a broad range of media and practices\, from painting to performance\, from traditional to experimental.  \nOn February 1\, our resident baker\, Lucia Meneses will lead a workshop on baking sourdough bread.  All participants will mix\, shape and bake their own loaves.
