SUMMARY:DHT's Annual Art & Photography Competition 2017
DESCRIPTION:Dade Heritage Trust’s Art and Photography Competition is a visual arts competition for\nelementary\, middle and high school students in Miami-Dade County. It provides students with an opportunity to depict\, through art\, some aspect of the county’s architectural\, environmental and cultural heritage. The competition seeks to inspire young Miami-Dade County artists to become better acquainted with the rich architectural\, environmental and cultural history of the county\, to develop and refine artistic skills\, and to have fun with their art. \nDade Heritage Trust is celebrating the Miami River! Dade Heritage Trust will also provide guided field trips to Lummus Park and the Miami River Greenway. Student works will be shown in the ROLLIN’ ON THE RIVER exhibit at Dade Heritage Trust’s headquarters. \nIMPORTANT DATES:\n• Entries will be accepted from March 20 – March 28\, 2017 at DHT headquarters:\nDade Heritage Trust\n190 SE 12th Terrace\nMiami\, FL 33131\n• Winners will be notified by March 31\, 2017\n• Awards will be presented on April 7\, 2017 in conjunction with the exhibit opening at Dade\nHeritage Trust at 6:00pm. \nPlease click the following for entry forms and more details:  Art & Photo Competition Submission Forms

DESCRIPTION:Dade Heritage Trust’s Annual Art and Photography Contest features wonderful works from Miami-Dade K-12 students.  This year’s contest theme\, FIND YOUR PARK\, encouraged inspiration from South Florida’s four National Parks:  Everglades\, Biscayne\, Big Cypress and Dry Tortugas.  The Everglades Foundation sponsored the contest and provided Everglades field trips for student participants.
