Meet Mimo - Miami Mid-Century Modernism Conference 2011

March 11-12, 2011: An international conference on Miami's Mid-Century Modern architecture and design. Amidst the prosperity of post WWII rose a unique architecture and design style in Miami that translated International Modernism into innovative designs with tropical exoticism, glamour and fun.

Meet MiMo will feature national and local experts on Mid-Century Modern architecture. A "Living Legends" luncheon will honor renowned architects of this era. Highlights include a Bacardi reception, a boat tour of the Marine Stadium, a house tour of iconic Modernist homes, and walking tours of the Morris Lapidus Historic District along Collins on Miami Beach, Lincoln Road, North Beach, Bay Harbor Islands, MiMo Biscayne Historic District and the University of Miami's Modernist structures.
