for Dade Heritage Trust Fundraiser

at Indian Creek Country Club

Guests at Dade Heritage Trust’s 2008 Annual Golf Tournament and Fabulous Cocktail Auction fundraiser were treated to a perfect day of golf and a glorious sunset over the water at Indian Creek Country Club on SaturdayMay 3rd.

Thanks to premier sponsors TotalBank and Adrienne Arsht, golf foursomes enjoyed a luncheon and afternoon playing the legendary greens.  For the evening cocktail buffet that followed, sponsored by Bill Ussery Motors Companies, guests reveled in the beautiful 1928 historic architecture, enjoying the music of the Billington Trio, a silent and live auction and an idyllic setting for conversation and laughter.

Mary Young and Amy Sussman co-chaired the fundraiser, with Jose Goyanes and Chico Goldsmith co-chairing the2 golf tournament.  Funds raised will support the nonprofit Dade Heritage Trust’s efforts to save Miami’s endangered historic places.

Adrienne Arsht was recognized with Dade Heritage Trust’s “Shining Spire” Award for her generosity in nurturing Miami’s heritage for the future by giving $30 million to the Performing Arts Center and by historically designating and planning the restoration of “Villa Serena,” the 1913 home of  statesman William Jennings Bryan.  Miami-Dade County Commissioner Katy Sorenson and City of Miami Commissioner Marc Sarnoff were present to read proclamations in her honor.
